Singin' the Bleu Cheese Burger Blues

So, Dutch's in Forth Worth was our next stop on the Burger Tour! Their speciality is the bacon and bleu cheese burger. I have to admit that I opted for the avocado burger as it looked too yummy not to try. However, Derek stuck to the Tour plan and had "the" burger...and trust me, he was not singin' the blues! This burger was delicious and the hand-dipped onion rings were a perfect side dish.

We had some very special visitors on this particular tour stop...Derek's parents! They of course loved the burgers, but they seemed to love giving Logan sips of their orange dreamcicle malts even more. And Logan could not get enough! Grandma gave him a few tastes from her straw, and as soon as her straw hit her malt cup, Logan was fussing for more dreamcicle. He is definitely our child; he loves ice cream!

So I must say that this burger tour has been really fun! And what has been even more fun, is recreating our favorite recipes at home. This past weekend we created Guac-a-peno burger. It is a yummy beef patty topped with guacamole and swiss cheese in the middle of a jalepeno cheddar bun. Oh yes, it is as yummy as it sounds!
